Most exhausting day thus far. As i got up for sunrise (a few pics here) noticed snow in my room- no big deal considering there was no heating! We were delayed leaving ABC on account of snow last night- the “trail” was washed out and we decided to ride the wake of a Korean trekking party and their six porters. Lots of fun and games on route, and seriously questioned the craftsmanship of some of my off-label North Face gear.
In an effort to get to the hot springs in Jinua, we decided to make tracks back to Chhomrong. Nine hours, one snapped walking stick and probably 5,000 stairs later, we arrived.
It is very deceptive to go “down” a mountain in Nepal and often feels much harder harder than going up.
