Rewind: Nepal!
One of my most memorable experiences trekking in Nepal had nothing to do with the indescribable views, the warmth of the Nepalese or spending time with Krishna, my trusted guide. It was descending/ascending into villages.
It was the (mostly) blue and yellow signs that did it for me, announcing arrival to a village. Some names made me laugh, others made me puzzled, but the 100s of tea houses along the way to the world’s highest mountains all announced themselves on tin or wood.
I think I have pics of close to 100 guest house signs but posting only a few here. With names like Lucky View, Nice View Lodge, Excellent View Top Lodge & Restaurant, Hotel Magnificent (with nice view), how can one not arrive with a smile?
